I book this hotel coz this is the last option after my preferable hotels are not available.

I originally book superior room via Agoda but then i found out that the room only have standing shower so as suggested by Agoda, i request directly to the hotel for an upgrade to deluxe room, with additional rate for sure.

When got there, the check in is slow then they said that they dont have the room we asked. Then they said that they have only the ocean suite that i can get for additional $50/night, they said this is special additional rate because normally they charge $60/night, im not impressed and very disappointed. Although i refuse, they insist us to take the ocean suite.

And after almost 10 minutes arguing that we dont want to, they made some calls and said to us "eh miss, we have a room but you have to wait so we can prepare".... yeah right, waiting for another 10 minutes, we finally got our room key and escorted to our room, no porter to help us carry the bag though.

My first impression of the room, is very smelly, the bathroom is dirty and guess what? the bed on the right side was broken! but we have always in a rush to go somewhere else so no chance to complaint.

We end up spending 3 nights on a broken bed, smelly bathroom and a very gloomy room.

The service is very disappointing and the food is poor.

I tried the breakfast and its horrible, the room service also not so great.

Im very disappointed and hopefully i dont need to stay there again.

Best Features:
they got shuttle bus to Kuta on a daily basis

Needs Improvement:
- far away from center town for those who wants to shopping or clubbing. - poor breakfast - poor quality of food - poor quality of service

This hotel is terrible...The bed sucks.
The linens give me a dermatitis.
They have bed bugs...
Pool what pool, they offer a pool but is not available.
The gym did not work properly.
The worst service from the front desk.
The housekeeping don´t clean the room...

And the worst part we find cockroaches in our room and also in the reception... ajjjjjjjjjjjj.

great location and breakfast. we stay 6 days breakfast nothin change(only 2 o 3 item) but great. cleaning is not perfect but aceptable. Only staff have racist not all especially man. They only serve who gonna will pay tip and if not they don't care. bad taxi service looks like deal with taxi drivers. expensive than flag on the street. normal 70 Baht to silm but i took from hotel they charge me 150 so i pay tip 20% 180 baht ( I give 200). driver not change. and airport 600 baht too. when I flag on the street meter(including toll fee) only 350 Baht. But it is ok because those money help hem out. Just don't chitting customer.hotel staff should be customer side.

Hotel Bellevue des Alpes (Scheidegg Hotels), Kleine Scheidegg, Switzerland: 19th century disappointment

The wind came howling into the room one night, through the huge gaps in the 19th century window frames (not very charming).
The following evening, the power failed and wasn't re-established until late the following afternoon! (not very charming either). The electrician said that the electrical fittings were still 19th century (not very charming). If you want a rough room in a great location at a very high price, then this is your hotel. If you really want some comfort in your room or indeed simply value for money, you would be better off getting a good hotel in Wengen.

To cap it all, the reception manager, gave me a rebate of one night for the power outage, then two days later I saw that the hotel owner had decided that he didn't agree with the manager in reception and so he booked another 300 euros from my credit card. I am currently taking legal action which the hotel will lose.

So another warning is DO NOT TRUST this hotel with your credit card details.

Best Features:
Very good food. Comfortable lounge. Great location for the slopes.

Needs Improvement:
19th century hotel with 19th century rooms, and yet 21st century prices. The owners have seriously scimped on the investments and renovations, and simply hide behind the excuse of the "19th century charm".

Needs Improvement:
Beware of the Massage gals (TG Massage). Ladies do not let your man out of your sight with these girls. They try to make men feel sorry for them. Mine Western Unioned money, almost divorced to move there. She is 26 he is 51. Very scary.

I stayed at INDOCHINA hotel- 13 Au Trieu street, Hanoi from 12mar to 15mar 2008. It is the best hotel in Hanoi that i have ever stayed .The fist, i stayed in Paradise Hotel which the room was fine but too expensive .Then we moved to Golden Sun hotel , it has good location but all staffs tryed to sell the tour, we did not like this hotel to do bussiness on that way. And the last stop was Indochina hotel, it is really really beatifull hotel with eastern decoration, the room is cozy, clean, the staffs were so nice and helpfull.It was much better than we expected.And i knew that all customers fell very happy when stay in this hotel. However, we have just read some bad review for this hotel and we could not understand why some poeple can said like that.May be that is the comparetition between some hotel?

But any way, i love this hotel and i will come back again.

Woraburi Hotel, Brisbane, Australia: Cant complain...

My first trip to Bangkok, unsure what to expect, was happy with the value for money offered by this hotel. Sure, it wasnt fancy, it wanst too modern, but the tv had a remote, the water was hot and the air con was cold. When you are out all day sight seeing and shopping, and then home to change to go out to get dinner and watch the world go by over a few beers, who cares that its not perfect. It was better than some of the places i saw that wanted more money and it was better than sleeping in the gutter!

Best Features:
Close to BTS, Secure, close to pubs and bars and shopping, great travel desk, pool, happy hour.

Needs Improvement:
Lift was slow. Couldnt leave the Air Cond going in the room as you needed the key, so it was always hot upon arrival home from a hot day

Shopping tip
Head to MBK early, look around, dont get excited by the first shop you see. ALWAYS barter, even if you think its a fixed prive store, give it a go!!

It is a beautyful island, but there are much better places to stay then at this nonFood temple.The island is very relaxing and quiet; you can experience the enviroment while walking over it.

There is no beach at the hotel, next beach at next hotel, min. 10 min walk. Canooing to other beaches, cost abaout THB 200 per hour.., Breakfast is realy bad, Menu for diner is poor, Food is doubleprized then other restaurants around. There is no Pool, no spa, no wellness.Activity is also poor,. ( the boat for scuba ist mosttimes not going out. They don´t clean rooms, during the day no warmwater, no airconditioning. No loundry service. Poor service at any time.All Beaches around have sandflys.

Room was poor refrigearator was musty, room had light leaking tjrough door noise level even at 17 th floor was terrible room was way overpriced for what was offered. If you want hookers and hawkers to bother then a good place to good well at least the hookers were cheap.

Flight tip
Go to side street next to citadel there is a place called Soho condos better deal cleaner rooms by far all rooms non smoking bed are awesome and huge comfortable and a internet cafe next door called the De Ja Vue internet shop which in 9 months of traveling around AQsia is the finest internet cafe I have come across people here are friendly and this place is safe and squeaky clean

Wilton Palace Hotel: Perfect location

The location is perfect, you have the famouse recoleta cementery near the hotel, there you find night life, cinemas, gret restaurants, etc. and you are near the Santa Fe Avenue, great place for clothes shopping. The Santa Fe Avenue is great for clothes shopping, low prices, new argentinian designers, and is not on display only for tourists as Calle Florida is, this avenue is for real argentinians.

The food quality is regular, not a bad coffea, regular croissants in buenos aires you can find great patiseries, great bred in general, so bad croissants at brekfast is a sin.

The room was regular, no minibar, horrible shapoo with conditioner all in one,

and the window view was a wall, brbrbbb

Location, Location, Location. Location as better as it gets

Not a great breakfast. Regular room, horrible view (a wall).

Shopping tip
The Santa Fe Avenue is great for clothes shopping, low prices, new argentinian designers, and is not on display only for tourists as Calle Florida is, this avenue is for real argentinians.

Puri Asri Villa, Bali, Indonesia: Terrible experience in Bali (Puri Asri Villa, Nyuh Kuning, Ubud, Bali)

I bit some stones when I ate Nasi Goreng which they served
and became very sick- enteritis- during I stayed there.
Refrigerator in Puri Asri Kitchen was almost garbage can.
I think their lack of awareness of hygiene
would cause all the disease to guests who stay there.

Male staffs who seems like managers there
they do not know what the services are
and low quality of people.
They enjoyed talking about guests with other staffs
in front of guests or sometimes during guests were eating breakfast
and sometimes forgot to serve breakfast.

The stupid hotel staffs there
think that guests do not understand Balinese language.

I tried to explain my problem in there but their service never changed
and sometimes foul my name in Balinese language with other staffs in front of me...
How low quality people they are!

Puri Asri villa was the most terrible hotel which I have experienced in my life.

If you have a plan to visit Bali, choose quantity or quality would become a issue. I recommed you to choose quality even though you pay more. Puri Asri Villa, Ubud they suggest cheap hotel rates but do not forget it also included cheap and low quality of service...

De ontvangst was allesbehalve hartelijk. We werden er eventjes tussendoor geholpen en kregen een sleutel en de lift was om de hoek. Dat we de sleutel moesten gebruiken voor de lift werd niet verteld, we zaten dus een poosje te prutsen. Toen we teruggingen en vroegen hoe de lift werkte deed de man (met baardje) geergerd. Er stonden vieze kopjes in de ene kamer, we waren met nog 2 gasten, en op onze kamer stond geen koffie en thee en kopjes. Het eten in het restaurant was de eerste avond redelijk en de tweede avond ronduit slecht. Bij het vragen om een tweede bakje friet (voor 4 personen) kregen we gebakken schillen, en toen we die terug lieten gaan kwam de patat nadat we de rest op hadden. Toen we uitcheckten bleek, dat we tegen reductie hadden kunnen parkeren, daar had de receptionist niets over gezegd tegen ons. We hebben dus een duur tarief gehad, van 20 euro per 24 uur...

Nee, hier gaan we zeker niet naar terug!!!

Slechte receptionist. Redelijk tot slecht restaurant.

Shopping tip
Het is mogelijk om met een bus een rondrit in Antwerpen te doen. Via koptelefoons worden dan de bezienswaardigheden verteld in verschillende talen. Het kost 10 euro per persoon.

DISCOVERY SUITES, Manila , Philippines: WHAT A DISCOVERY!!!

SHopping tips-- go to GREENHILLS for bargains more pricey here tahN DIVISORIA in Manila but less hectic and clean. The noise is untolerable to novices, but bear with it if you want to shop.

Custom made dresses, gowns suits and mens wear- done in some shops at Greenhills- recommend some reputable stores- LORD WEST- pricer than others nut quality work.

Check in security guards -- they are all over the malls-- dont ask them for directions-- they dont know where the stores are,etc. BEst to get to the INFORMATION BOOTH in that mall and they can direct you properly.

Watch for pick pockets and quick money changers in the stalls. ALWAYS count your change in front of the vendor for correct change before leaving the area.

Do not exchange foreign currencies on the weekends and holidays-- MONEY CHANGERs will give you a lower rate esp in out of town areas, banks are closed and they have less competition.

I booked at TRADERS HOTEL 4 nites after the DISCOVERY SUITES -- its much classier and cleaner hotel. FOr the same price I paid-- I got into the Executive floor- booked by of a ftravel agent friend.

If you are craving for great food-- go to SEASIDE area-- they have lots of fresh seafoods, meat, etc, you pick and choose the amt u want to consume and ask any restaurant to cook them for you for a fee. The recipes will be up to you or the cooks recommendations.

Best Features:
vERY LOCATION very good for busy travellers and with familes. Convenient to walk anywhere to the malls,stores. Taxis easy to flag down at front of hotel- Bellhops will do it for you. Employees very polite and eager to please. Many will listen to your request and issues and help resolve within their capacity.

Needs Improvement:
CHECK INProcess:Very poor! Categories for diff rooms --VERY MISLEADING! not you might expect it to be.DISCOVERY SUITES' Website needs to be updated to avoid BIG disappointments when getting in the rm you're assigned. I booked for Junior suite with 2 beds fro 2 adults.. Bellhop warned me its a sm room and said" it is a studio suite not a junior suite".They added a twin bed into a studio room with a qn size bed. Front desk kept on asserting it was their Jr suite-- later heard her say to AGODA it is a stuido suite but it is considered junior category- AGODA clerk did not offer any help- did not return call as promise after 2 days and I already asked to be moved to another room, another hotel or reimburse my money. I prodded athe recpt desk daily, I was moved to another room with a diff configuration -same footage only has 2 fullsz beds..Local booking agents puts a bad name to AGODA if they publish misleading facts like this on the website-it disappoints their customers and put the blame on AGODA! The junior suite is more likely a studio or deluxe category in a 3-4 star hotel. discovery suites over inflated their category - the junior suite rm.charge did not commensurate with the real junior suite category.I'ves tayed at PEARL MANILA hotel in Ermita 2 yrs ago and it far exceeds what this hotel have to offer on the dame room category. .BREAKFAST: poor quality , not enough variety/choices, fruits were skimpy in supply. fruits not fresh- mushy, melons not ripe. Clients were made to wait for utensils and food supply at front line --many times. 10days in these hotel --service did not improve-- it got worse everyday. My room smelled musty with cigar tinge, other times it was like wet rice field. The ventilation and air flow was a real problem. My well controlled asthma problem re- activated the entire time I was there. I spent less time in the room only to return at nite. Sleepless nites from hacking cough and shortof breath every nite-- the uncontrollable smell coming form the hallway carpet seeping throught the bottom crack of my front door.I was able to avoid ER trips using my meds.The housekeeping and engineering crew were summoned daily for diff problems-- air condtioning probs,light bulbs out, phones not working, Tv not working- did not use it till 3rd day, shower doors falling out x3- missing and loose screws each time they came.Carpets very soiled and room spot cleaned after I requested. They were not able to resolve the hallway carpet smell seeping through the bottom crack of my front door. I sealed my door with bath towel at nite and kept the smell at tolerable level.I asked Housekeeper to keep my door shut at all times.The bedroom walls are not noise proof-- you can hear private conversations next door esp at nite.So much for privacy! SPA and massage service: ALSO a BIG disappointment! The service ladies were inexperienced and had unsafe technique-Perhaps bec Im very familiar with giving massages and had rec'd many facials from experts. I expected "good "service for what they charged.Desperately needing one after all the probs I had with this hotel, I ended up giving a show and tell demo/ hands on tips to the (2) employees so they can do it to me properly.They seemed thankful to my quick n simple instructions, but I was very disappointed overall with that whoel episode. I told them to tell their boss what happened and how they can improve.I still gave them a FAT tip- 12-15% of the total bill-- which was outrageous. INTERNET Service: very slow connection and key boards needs to be replaced badly. Employee told me they are due to replace them soon.BEST THING: IT was free to use if available.

Dont lawys trust what you see in the internet- pcitures are deceiving. GET UPDATED info abt the hotel,e tc or read the reviews of the customers who recenlty stayed there.

This hotel lacks of customer service and too pompous for its own good. Bellboy is not helpful and did not help us carry our luggage but instead just disappear when we got our taxi and only came out to close the taxi door. The taxi driver was more helpful. My silly partner gave the bellboy a tip cos he already had some cash in his hands. You bet i scolded him! As for the front desk, it seems that if you are not appropriately attired, or white, they don't smile at you. Almost robotic except for their eyes looking at you up and down. The hotel is glam but please, it's not like we are staying at the Royal Buckingham Palace or something. If I have just arrived from a beach resort, I ain't going to be wearing a ballgown!

Anyway, this was an experience and definitely will not check into the Scarlet again. It's such a turn-off especially when you'd expect a fab service from a glam hotel.
